Oh yeah, and I smoke crack too.

The heat does strange things to a person. We all know that knitter's are subject of nutty ideas and fits of obsession. Add that to a 102 degree day and toss in some recently delivered back issues of Piecework (and IW Knits) and one gets... mittens.
Yep. I'm pretty sure this qualifies me for minor, temporary insanity. I'm knitting mittens. At first I thought, mittens are no different than socks. Lots of knitters work on socks in the summer since they're small and not cumbersome... but theoretically you could still wear socks in the summer. Plus I already have 5 half knitted pairs of socks in my bag. And some people get a head start on holiday gift knitting over the summer. But alas, these mittens are for me.
It's just stereotypical knitter wackiness. Tomorrow I start on leg warmers.
