It was a job for the Lucid Dream Defender
I've been interested in the subject of lucid dreaming for quite some time and have even been able to pull it off on occasion. For the un-initiated, lucid dreaming is just the ability to be aware that you are dreaming when you are dreaming.
It's usually touted as a way to deal with reaccuring nightmares (you can take control of whatever is plaguing you in the nightmare) or for a way of boosting creativity and problem solving abilities (since you aren't held back by real world obstacles in dreams... like gravity or clothing or the fact that one must have meat juice to make gravy).
I've never had much control over my dreams but occasionally I've had the pleasure of realizing I was dreaming in the midst of a really good dream and I've gotten to do something heroic or interesting in my dreamworld. And then usually the alarm clock ruins it all.
Last night I was stressing over the subject of my previous post (the enigmatic Integrity post) and I kept telling myself that its really not a big deal and I just need to get over it and move on. But I couldn't and it was making me lose sleep. And then I had the dream. (insert dramatic music here)
I dreamed I was back at the place and time where some crappiness went down. Of course I knew for certain that I was dreaming since the time and place wasn't "normal". So I confronted the person who did the bad thing. And then I got revenge in a benign, silly and satisfying way. As always, some things are better left to the reader's imagination but here's a hint... revenge involved the person's real car (which is white in real life but I also gave it white upolstery in my dream) and lots of mustard.

if only it was always that easy. i don't think that the majority of people are really lacking in either ethics or integrity, but sometimes the fragility of both is startlingly frightening. i haven't always followed my own moral compass, but it always lets me know that i'm off track and that i need to go back and correct things.
