KTE - Wheeee!
Ok, so enough rants for the week.
Yesterday I received the above postcard in the mail from my Knitter's Treat Exchange partner. It was completely unexpected. Yay! I ♥ suprises! Apparently she is in Canada (unless she is a very crafty Aussie with connections in the Canadian Post).

This inspired me to send a little something to my KTE pal who is in New Zealand. She's a quilter and a sock knitter so I knit a wee little sock last nite to put in a card to her today. I was thinking of making a little quilt block too. We'll see if I can get my act together!

Mwa-ha-ha... you'll never know... glad it arrived.
So... the nut allergy, is it really serious? Should I be extra careful not to get anything that could have even come into contact with a nut? (in which case, I'd better not handle anything -- I'm a little nuts myself!)
-KTE spoiler

LOL! You are very, very crafty, my mystery friend!
The nut allergy... I'm generally safe with the stuff that says "Manufactured in a plant that processes nuts".
But I have to be super vigilant about sneaky nut ingredients. Pecans, walnuts and hazelnuts (filberts) are very bad news for me. There are several American granola companies that have suddenly decided to include pecan flour as an ingredient in formerly safe products... I found out the hard way. :(
Nutty PEOPLE, on the other hand, cause the opposite reaction... I break out in anti-hives and my throat un-swells. I'm one myself, ya know? Its my super hero power. NUTTY GIRL to the rescue! heeheehee!
